A. The Regular Meeting of the Vernon Township Board was held on March 7, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. Members present: Jeff Bean (Supervisor), Loren Cole (Clerk), Jack McConnell (Trustee), Julie Cole (Deputy Clerk) and Stephanie Allen (Deputy Treasurer). Members absent: Vicky Louch (Treasurer) and Mike Turner (Trustee).
B. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by J. Bean who led in the Pledge to the Flag.
C. L. Cole made the motion and J. McConnell seconded to approve and accept the minutes from last meeting and to approve and accept the agenda for this meeting. Motion carried.
D. Visitors present: Kelly Bean (Resident), George Green (County Commissioner) and Annie Cole (Resident).
Mr. Green talked to the board about some issues from the County Government like Tribal Compacts, Roads, Re-Districting, and PA 51. Some questions were raised to him about the Haz-Mat Team.
K. Bean expressed some concerns about local Zoning.
E. Supervisor's Report
1. Roads: There was a meeting on February 28, 2011 with ICRC.
2. Property Tax: Board of Review start with Organizational meeting on March 8th.
3. Solid Waste: Trash Contract expires the end of this year.
4. Fire:
a. CAFD
I. Adopted its 2011/2012 Budget
II. $0.50/hour increase was approved retroactively to July 1, 2010 by 6 to 1 vote.
b. Isabella Fire Chiefs Association invoice for $125.00 for Haz.-Mat.
5. Zoning:
a. Marlin Fox: Site Plan Review for 60' x 100' vehicle storage area.
b. Ben Browning: Public Hearing on Zoning Amendment; AG to C-1.
c. Outstanding zoning violations: 5 in our township.
6. Other:
Budget Hearing will be April 4, 2011 at 6 p.m. at the Township Hall.
F. Clerk' Report:
1. Budget: Budget vs. Actual report in packet. J. McConnell made the motion to adjust the budget by moving $291.60 from Insurance and Bonds (851-960) to Township Hall Expense (265-700). L. Cole seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Motion for Resolution 001-2011"Resoltuion In Opposition to Proposed Changes to Open Burning Regulations Proposed to be effective April 1, 2011" made by J. McConnell. Motion seconded by L.Cole. Motion passed with a roll call vote of three yes and 2 absent.
J. New Business:
1. Consideration of 2011 Road Work if $10,000 cost share is available:
Motion by L. Cole to table this until next meeting. Motion seconded by J. McConnell. Motion passed.
